Majestic Apartment Construction Slated to Start This Fall

Exciting changes are coming to Wenatchee Avenue this fall! Weidner Apartment Homes is preparing to begin construction on “The Majestic” apartment building. This project will bring new life to the area, with plans for three retail spaces on a half-acre lot.

Alongside the construction of The Majestic, Weidner is also proposing a streetscape project to enhance the surrounding area. Some of the improvements include:

• Realigning curbs

• Raising the intersection at Yakima Street and Wenatchee Avenue

• Adding raised mid-block crossings

• Paving sidewalks

• Planting street trees and adding planting areas

• Installing historic pedestrian light poles

• Adding benches, bike racks, and waste receptacles

These enhancements aim to create a more walkable and inviting environment for both residents and visitors.

Weidner’s plans also include the renovation of the historic Old Wenatchee Jailhouse and an underground parking garage nearby. The project will slightly reduce the number of parking spaces on Wenatchee Avenue, but the new parking garage will provide 100 additional spots to accommodate the area.

This development represents a significant investment in the future of our downtown, blending new construction with thoughtful streetscape improvements.
