Columbia Street Mural Fest

A vibrant, all-ages, family-friendly event celebrating the power of art to connect and inspire.

Held on Šnpəšqáw̉šəxi / Np̓əšqáw̓səx P'squosa land, we honor the original stewards of the Wenatchee Valley and aim to spark meaningful dialogue around the diversity in our community.

Watch 8 Washington-based artists paint live murals, vote for your favorite, and help award a paid mural contract through the WDA. Enjoy interactive art installations, live music, a beer garden, kids' activities, and more.

In partnership with local nonprofits, the festival also highlights the important work being done in our valley—offering the public a chance to learn, engage, and discover new ways to support our community.

Meet the Muralists

Marnie Lynn

Marnie Lynn is an East Wenatchee artist experienced in traditional and digital artwork. Much of her work is inspired by the natural surroundings of Central Washington and the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys capturing the beauty of nature and creating images with meaningful symbolism by using a stylized approach while blending and layering organic and geometric designs.

Jimi Drake

Owner/ Artist of Ole Soul Studio in Wenatchee, established 2012. Started early in life as a custom painter, airbrush artist and pinstriper before leaning into a 20 plus year career as a tattooer. Not enough art in this world to take on in one lifetime, but I’ll sure have fun going for it!

Sarah Sims

Sarah Sims is a local muralist, jeweler, musician and all around art collaborator. She owns 8-Bit, a retro style jewelry business and is also half of the singing duo, Deep Green Sea, with Ron Evans. Sarah's energy lately is going toward local business commissioned murals, balanced with grad school where she is studying for a Master's in Art Therapy.

Kathleen Dyer

Kathleen Dyer grew up in Park City, Utah and has lived in the Wenatchee Valley for nearly two decades. She studied Media Arts and Animation at the Art Institute, and interned at an animation studio in Kilkenny, Ireland; but despite her big dreams of moving to Ireland to become an animator she decided to stay close to family and has been doing mural painting, chalkboard and window art for local businesses, custom skateboard designs, canvas paintings, and graphic design commissions as a side hustle for the last 15+ years.

Kristin Twitchell

Kristen grew up in the PNW and more specifically the Wenatchee Valley calling Leavenworth Washington her home. Kristen has always lived in the mountains and is always happiest when outside and in nature

Teaching herself how to paint with no formal training, she learned how to translate all the emotion, feelings and magical beauty of her favorite landscapes into her paintings.

Glynn Rosenberg

Glynn Rosenberg is a mural painter based in Seattle, Washington, whose work is inspired by the beauty and complexity of nature. Drawn to the tiny details of plants and animals, Rosenberg focuses on the patterns found in nature, emphasizing them through color, composition and repetition. Rosenberg’s work seeks to deepen the connection between humanity and the natural world, while also reflecting on personal identity, gender, and social issues.

Val Gonzalez

Val Gonzalez (she/her) is a Chilean-born, Seattle-based visual artist and photographer whose work explores identity, movement, and belonging. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant dance communities she has been part of for over a decade, Val’s photography often features dancers in surreal, radiant environments. Her style merges electric color palettes and digital experimentation, creating images that feel both intimate and ethereal.

Lindsay Breidenthal

Born and raised in Wenatchee, this place has formed my person and the art I create. My background in painting covers everything from signage, windows, labels, and murals to portrait commissions and original bodies of work for exhibition.  I teach oil painting through WVCC’s Continuing Education Program and love to witness individual and collective transformation through art.

Elena Payne

Elena Payne is a graphic designer by trade, running a small design studio in East Wenatchee. She also teaches graphic design at Wenatchee Valley College. Her artistic pursuits are a companion to her creative work as a designer, the two being symbiotic and mutually informing.

  • No! We want to encourage all artists to be a part of Mural Fest. We will have experienced artists available to help and facilitate working within the medium!

  • It’s no surprise that art is an extremely valuable resource that can enhance local spaces and bring communities together. Public access to art has been proven to help community development, improve local economies as well as beautify areas. We believe having more diversity and color within Wenatchee’s growing downtown scene would make a remarkable contribution to the spirit of this valley.

Our aim is to educate, foster connection, and bring more art to the greater Wenatchee valley!

  • Yes! All community members are welcomed and encouraged to come. Mural Fest will have a specially curated “kids corner” for little ones to be creative!
