A través del tiempo los mexicanos han hecho de esta tradición una fiesta peculiar y una forma de ver la muerte diferente, recordando a sus familiares, seres queridos, personajes importantes de la vida pública, rindiéndoles un homenaje póstumo muy particular

Las regiones de danza para este año son: Colima, Yucatán, Sinaloa mestizo, Nayarit costa, Jalisco ranchero, Chiapas, polkas revolucionarias.
