Museum Groundbreaking Ceremony

This is a groundbreaking celebration for the Museum’s Branch Out transformation project. It is a free family-friendly event and will include:

  • 8:00 Rummage Sale Early Access- $10 entry fee

  • 10:15: Live music begins with dancers from Lewis and Clark Elementary School and goes on throughout the day featuring local talent

  • 11:00: Groundbreaking ceremony with a Miss Veedol fly-over

  • Noon: Food trucks open

  • 12:30: Behind-the-scenes guided tours of the Museum begin

  • 2:00-4:00: Organ is played

  • 4:00: Groundbreaking celebration ends

 

The location is the current Museum location- 127 S. Mission

There will be lots of kids’ activities such as a construction zone with large foam blocks, an archaeology dig, face painting, etc

Live Music at McGlinn’s Public House

Dominick has been playing guitar for 21 years and writing original music for 15+ of those years. He looks at himself not as a guitar player, but an artist who utilizes the guitar and other forms to create an inspiring, healing, and contemplative experience for himself and listeners. Alternate tunings and intuitive playing have contributed immensely by shaping the instrumental and lyrical music that comes through him. He has a background in Integrative Health and is currently studying Music and Recording Arts Technology which is taking his creative possibilities to new depths and heights. He has performed at festivals in Thailand, Costa Rica, and the East Coast (US), as well as in yoga classes, local gigs, and workshops where he incorporates live music, meditation, group energy healing and writing into one experience. He loves performing live and sharing the gifts that continue to be cultivated.

Bios on Tap: Upper Columbia Spring Chinook and Steelhead

The Washington Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers and the Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board are partnering to host a casual “Bios on Tap” evening focused on Upper Columbia Steelhead and Spring Chinook at Watercore Cider on March 19 at 6:00 p.m.

The interactive event will feature Ryan Niemeyer of UCSRB will be providing an overview of the current status of these ESA-listed fish and key recovery efforts in the region, followed by a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist who will share insights on regional angling regulations and opportunities along with additional ecological and biological context.

Attendees are invited to enjoy cider, conversation, and an engaging discussion about the science, management, and future of these iconic fish in a relaxed community setting.

The Hip-Hop Orchestra Experience is part concert, dance party, and club night featuring original music that samples from classical and hip-hop—all presented in an underground setting like the New York scene that birthed hip-hop. Their music uniquely challenges the MCs and classical musicians, pushing the boundaries of both hip-hop and concert music, creating something completely new.
