Wenatchee Downtown Association: Reflecting on a Remarkable 2024

As the calendar turns, the Wenatchee Downtown Association looks back on a year brimming with community connection, celebration, and a touch of holiday magic. From signature events to exciting new initiatives, 2024 proved to be a year of growth, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun. None of it would have been possible without the incredible support of our local businesses, partners, and residents who continue to make downtown Wenatchee the heart of our valley.

We kicked off the year in February with our much-loved Annual Appreciation Dinner, celebrating the people and partnerships that fuel our work. April brought the return of Girls Night Out, a joyful evening of shopping, sipping, and connection. By June, we welcomed curious minds and adventurous spirits to the Possibilities Tour, where we showcased untapped opportunities in downtown Wenatchee.

The summer heat brought even hotter happenings. In August, the Annual Summer Sidewalk Sale invited everyone to stroll through downtown and enjoy unbeatable deals from our local businesses. Meanwhile, First Fridays’ Summer Street Concert Series turned downtown into a party. Featuring bands like The Kevin Jones Band, Umami Tuesday, The Michael Carlos Band, and Pizza Party, the concerts drew music lovers of all ages to dance, laugh, and enjoy a beer garden right on the street.

Autumn arrived with a flurry of excitement. On Halloween, our downtown transformed into a trick-or-treater’s paradise during Trick-or-Treat on the Ave, where over 2,000 pounds of candy brought smiles to young ghouls and goblins. As November ushered in the holiday spirit, we celebrated with our annual Holiday Open House & Wine Walk, selling out with 500 tickets. December continued the cheer with the Cookie Stroll, which also sold out, followed by our first-ever Santa Crawl, where merry revelers donned Santa suits and explored downtown’s pubs and bars.

Through it all, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who contributed to this unforgettable year. Whether you shopped, danced, dressed up, volunteered, or simply showed up, you helped make 2024 a year to remember. We are endlessly thankful for the businesses, performers, and volunteers who brought these events to life and the community members who joined us. Here’s to another year of growth, joy, and making downtown Wenatchee shine!
